David Rheem is a professional poker player from Los Angeles, California. Known to his friends by the name 'Chino', David Rheem has been playing poker for about ten years including playing poker online and over the last few years Chino has made a name for himself in the tournament poker world with some very strong performances. David 'Chino' Rheem made the Final Table of the 2008 World Series of Poker $10,000 Main Event. Along with eight other players, David Rheem battled for the coveted World Series of Poker Main Event Bracelet and the honor to be named World Champion on the biggest poker stage in the history of poker. ESPN aired the final table live after months of promoting the tournament, making this years World Series of Poker the most anticipated and important final table ever in the history of poker. With 10,230,000 chips, David Rheem began the final table seventh in chips out of the final nine players. Throughout the days leading up to the final table, David Rheem went on a roller coaster chip ride from big stack to short stack to big stack and made the final table as a relative short stack. As one of only two true professional poker players, David Rheem was one of the favorites in the November Nine Final Table but ended up finishing 6th.
Following his final table David 'Chino' Rheem followed up his performance with an even more impressive final table appearance. David Rheem won the World Poker Tour $25,000 buy-in Main Event at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
David Rheem has been playing on the professional poker tournament circuit for a few years. Chino has several World Poker Tour (WPT) cashes and six World Series of Poker (WSOP) cashes as well. David Rheem nearly won a bracelet in the 2006 No Limit Holdem $1,000 rebuy event finishing second and earning $328,000. This is not the first time David Rheem cashed in the main event as Chino has cashed in the Main Event of the WSOP before. During the 2008 WSOP, David Rheem cashed in the $5,000 mixed holdem event to go along with his guarantee of at least $900,670 cash in the main event. David Rheem signed some endorsement deals before the Main Event in November which rewarded this talented young pro the recognition he deserves for his amazing poker abilities.
